More Questions than Answers…?

The Many questions of Life

It appears, life presents us with many unanswered questions.  There are questions about God’s existence, the meaning of life, destiny, religion, spirituality, prayer, suffering, death, justice, love, forgiveness, morality and so on. There is no doubt that the world we are living in is working in a very mystical way.

Murphy J. in his book, The Power of Subconscious Mind, raises many other questions thus:

“Why is one man sad and another man happy? Why is one man joyous and prosperous and another man poor and miserable? Why is one man fearful and anxious and another full of faith and confidence? Why does one man have a beautiful, luxurious home while another man lives out a meager existence in a slum? Why is one man a great success and another an abject failure? Why is one speaker outstanding and immensely popular and another mediocre and unpopular? Why is one man a genius in his work or profession while the other man toils and moils all his life without doing or accomplishing anything worthwhile? Why is one man healed of a so-called incurable disease and another isn’t? Why is it so many good, kind religious people suffer the tortures of the damned in their mind and body? Why is it many immoral and irreligious people succeed and prosper and enjoy radiant health? Why is one woman happily married and her sister very unhappy and frustrated?”

How shall these questions be answered?

  1. By becoming more attentive to the world within us than the world outside of us: “the truth is that everything that man has ever looked for or aspired to be is within his very core. To know this, is to know that by which everything else is known. It is the secret behind creation and dissolution. It is the “master plan” (Arazu). The answers to these questions lie within us, but we often look for the answers outwardly instead of inwardly.
  2. By faith: We can also answer these questions by faith. It is said that faith answers all questions. In this context, faith is the ability to create a “harmonious interaction of the conscious and subconscious levels of mind scientifically directed for a specific purpose” (Murphy J.). This implies that many of these questions are asked based on our physical realities. In the spiritual reality, which is the domain of the subconscious mind, answers to these questions can be found. The most important question at this level is who am I? Until one adequately answers this question all other knowledge is hanging without a base (Arazu). If this question is properly answered, all other questions can be answered.

These many unanswered questions exist because people do not “understand the interaction of their conscious and subconscious minds. When these two principles work in accord, in concord, in peace, and synchronously together”, these questions will naturally disappear.

If you want to have more answers than questions in your life, in other words, if you want to be focused, you have to look more inwardly than outwardly. There are many distractions on the outside which give rise to very many questions. This is what it means to harmonize the conscious and the subconscious mind, when this harmony exists, all other harmonies will follow.
